Ariana Grande remembers Mac Miller and she breaks her silence since his passing
One week after his death on Sept. 7, the Sweetener singer has penned a touching and emotional tribute to her ex-boyfriend, who was found dead at his Studio City, Calif. home after an apparent drug overdose. He was 26.
On Friday (Sept. 14), Grande posted a video on Instagram of her former boyfriend at dinner, laughing and smiling as she films him. The former couple, who collaborated on the 2013 hit “The Way,” dated for at least a year-and-a-half before breaking up earlier this year.
According to Ariana part of the reasons for the breakup is his constant drug use. See her message below.

i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.
